The A4 heavyweight cartridge pad by Zieler contains 25 smooth soft white colour, high quality, heavy-duty sheets ideal for drawing and illustration, yet thick enough for markers, acrylic and light watercolour & gouache.

  • Ideal for a wide range of uses including drawing in pencils, ink, graphite, charcoals and pastel.
  • Heavy weight, smooth yet firm texture will help withstand more demanding uses such as scraping of pen nib or multiple erasure.
  • Can be used for acrylic and light watercolour painting & gouache – particularly good for line and wash work.
  • Each sheet is gum-bound at the top of the pad to ensure that each page is secure, yet easy to remove cleanly if desired.

Artway Watercolour Pad - 100% Cotton - A3?

I tested this paper tonight by doing a comparison with this and Arches paper. I did lots of techniques on both papers simultaneously. Same amount of paint, same brushes, same everything. Both papers worked more or less the same. Same bleeds, same blending, same density. The only difference I found was the texture/pattern of the paper showed through a little bit on the cheaper paper whilst the Arches was more or less smooth. So, I think I'll continue to use this paper.

We founded The Artists Brush Boutique in 2019, that's me in the middle supported either side by my Mum and Dad, both professional artists based in Arundel, West Sussex.  

The idea came about whilst looking at art supplies for my sons online. I was irked by how expensive some suppliers were and irritated by the endless amount of choice. It all felt quite overwhelming
